ABOUT US
The forces behind Let’s Brezel are mother and daughter duo Claudia & Gala. Claudia, who hails from Germany, came to New Zealand in the early eighties and has called Aotearoa her home ever since. But - something was missing :-))) There simply was nothing better than the smell & taste of a freshly baked, warm brezel (pretzel). And although brezel could now be found in Auckland & throughout New Zealand, under scrutiny, they simply did not hold up to their traditional German counterparts. So, the idea was born and the stakes set high - to be NZ's first mobile pretzel bakery offering the best tasting, authentic German pretzel in Aotearoa. Fast forward to November 2017 and after months of research & sample baking as well as restoration work, Let’s Brezel's food caravan hit the road for the very first time and has been part of the events circuit in the wider Auckland region.

MEET FRIEDEL
Let's Brezel's mobile brezel caravan FRIEDEL was the Auckland Car Club's Admin HQ during race meets at the Pukekohe Racecourse in a previous life. She changed hands after 33 years in 2014 and for the next three years sat around idle. Claudia came across her quite by chance when walking around the neighbourhood. Looking somewhat derelict and like she had not been moved in a while, the owner was approached and amazingly was keen to sell. In April 2017, restoration work began with the help of Claudia's son - a builder by trade. After months of hard work and countless hours of sanding, scraping, cutting, painting etc. Friedel was transformed and ready to mingle with the food truck clan. Boasting a bright red coat of paint and with a top notch fitout Friedel now attends events and markets around the wider Auckland region but may also be hired to make your private function or party extra special with her presence.
